🖤 Rest In Peace Jimmy McGrath

Extremely unfortunate news – James "Jimmy" McGrath, a lacrosse player for Fairfield Prep was fatally stabbed over the weekend.

A statement from the school: "The Fairfield Prep Community mourns the loss of junior Jimmy McGrath and we extend our deepest sympathies to the McGrath family. Jimmy was a beloved student and athlete on the football and lacrosse teams, and will forever be a member of the Prep Brotherhood."

In an absolute battle, the underdog Blue Hens defeated #2 seed Georgetown.

Mike Robinson scored on a behind-the-back beauty that brought the Blue Hens to within one goal with under eight minutes left in regulation, followed by Tye Kurtz as he made soon made it a 9-9 game.

It came down to the final minute and the Blue Hens holding possession to take the final shot of the game. In a well planned miracle, JP Ward was in prime position to make the game-winning goal with eight seconds left on the clock.
