🔮 1ST-ROUND PLAYOFF PREDICTIONS
Who Will Advance to The PLL Final Four? | TV Broadcast & Streaming Info For PLL Quarterfinals
It’s time for playoff lacrosse.
On Monday, Sep. 2, the Premier Lacrosse League will descend upon Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, Massachusetts, for the quarterfinals. The Carolina Chaos (4-6) will face the Boston Cannons (7-3) first, followed by a clash between the Denver Outlaws (5-5) and Maryland Whipsnakes (6-4).
As the Eastern and Western Conference champions, respectively, the New York Atlas (7-3) and Utah Archers (6-4) each earned a first-round bye in the playoffs.
CAROLINA CHAOS 🆚 BOSTON CANNONS
Game Time: Monday, Sep. 2 at 4 p.m. ET
TV/Streaming: ESPN2/ESPN+
These two teams met in the final week of the regular season, and the Cannons escaped with a win in overtime. The Chaos may have the No. 1 ranked defense in the PLL (11 scores allowed/game), but they will be without star defenseman Jack Rowlett, who will be serving a one-game suspension for an illegal hit in the season finale. Boston will also have the advantage of a home crowd, which came out in force at Harvard Stadium earlier this season.
Prediction: Cannons 15, Chaos 9
DENVER OUTLAWS 🆚 MARYLAND WHIPSNAKES
Game Time: Monday, Sep. 2 at 6:30 p.m. ET
TV/Streaming: ESPN+
The Whipsnakes are coming off a bye week, but before that, they were the hottest team in the PLL. The Outlaws have been wildly inconsistent from week to week and just lost to Maryland, 16-9, at home earlier this month. A pair of rookies will take center stage in this one, as No. 1 overall pick Brennan O’Neill and widely celebrated “steal of the draft” TJ Malone are the top two finalists for the 2024 PLL Rookie of the Year Award.
Prediction: Whipsnakes 13, Outlaws 10

📈 Dylan Faison Ranked No. 1 in 2026
St. Andrews (FL) midfielder Dylan Faison — the younger brother of Notre Dame lacrosse/football star Jordan Faison — has been named the No. 1 recruit in the Class of 2026, according to Inside Lacrosse.

Here’s the full scouting report on Jordan Faison, via Inside Lacrosse:
Faison is among the top talents in the class as a whole and continues to make a case for No. 1. His game is centered around quickness but runs on creativity and confidence. He manipulates slides and reads defenses better than his peers and is constantly able to bait a slide one way to make them pay the other way. Great things happen for this Team 91 LI Storm offense when the ball goes in to his stick whether he’s the one to finish it himself or he makes his impact felt as a feeder. He anticipates openings and feeds with great touch allowing inside cutters to handle & finish without breaking stride.
Faison is already committed to Notre Dame to play both lacrosse and football. His brother Jordan excelled in both sports as a freshman, winning MVP of the Sun Bowl with the Fighting Irish football team last fall and running with the first-line midfield on the National Championship lacrosse team this past spring.
The Faison Brothers could share the field in South Bend in 2026/27, when Dylan will be a freshman and Jordan will be a senior.
🗣 Spallina Speaks on Field vs. Box
Syracuse attackman Joey Spallina is good at lacrosse.
This is obviously not breaking news when it comes to his field prowess, but now he’s evolving into a dominant force in the box game. He is coming off his second summer with the Orangeville Northmen in the OJLL and will soon suit up for Team USA in the World Lacrosse Box Championships.
Spallina, who is one of only two current college players on the USA roster, recently had this to say about his transition from field to box…
“You can definitely take stuff from box to the field,” Spallina told World Lacrosse, “but it’s very hard to take stuff from field to box.”
Spallina led all players during the OJLL regular season with 202 points (80 goals, 122 assists). He ranked third in the country with 88 points (37 goals, 51 assists) at Syracuse this past spring and will be a top contender for the Tewaaraton Award as a junior in 2025.
