📺 HOW TO WATCH PLL PLAYOFFS

Labor Day Triple-Header Broadcast Info | Watch Nakeie's Lacrosse Story

Whatever you have planned for Labor Day Weekend, make sure you leave Monday open for a triple-header of PLL quarterfinal matchups. These games will be played at Gillette Stadium — home of the New England Patriots — and here’s how you can watch each one…

*ALL THREE GAMES ON MONDAY, SEPTEMBER 4*

(4) Redwoods vs. (5) Chaos

Time: 11:45 a.m. ET
TV: ESPN+

Watch for THIS… Chaos attackman Josh Byrne returned from injury last week. If the Redwoods mark him with their Defensive Player of the Year finalist, Garrett Epple, that has the potential to be an epic 1-on-1 matchup.

(3) Waterdogs vs. (6) Whipsnakes

Time: 2:20 p.m. ET
TV: ESPN+

Watch for THIS… The Waterdogs are the defending PLL champs because attackman Michael Sowers stepped up in the playoffs last season. The Whips defense will have all eyes on 22 in purple, and you should too.

(2) Cannons vs. (7) Atlas

Time: 5 p.m. ET
TV: ESPN2

Watch for THIS… The Cannons are the only team with two MVP finalists: attackmen Marcus Holman and Asher Nolting. That said, the Atlas have one of their own in face-off athlete Trevor Baptiste who can turn the tide.

Three of these teams will move onto the semifinals. The winner of Redwoods-Chaos game will face the top-seeded Archers, who have a first-round bye. The other two winners will face each other for a chance to go to the Championship.

Those games will be played on Sunday, Sep. 10 on Long Island.

🍿 NAKEIE: A TLN Lacrosse Story

The TLN YouTube series Lacrosse Stories is back, and first up in 2023 is Redwoods midfielder Nakeie Montgomery. Watch the full episode here:

Montgomery is from Dallas, Texas and was an All-American at Duke. The Woods selected him in the third round of the 2022 PLL Draft and he has since carved out a role as a gritty, two-way midfielder.

One thing you may be surprised to learn about Nakeie by watching his Lacrosse Story is that he didn’t always dream of being a pro athlete.

“I morphed a lot,” Nakeie said. “I used to want to be the President. That was my first dream job. And now, to be honest, I wanna play until I’m older than [Kyle] Hartzell. I wanna play until I’m 40.”

📈 Millon Brother Ranked No. 1 in 2025

The legacy continues…

Two years after McCabe Millon — son of Pro Lacrosse Hall of Famer Mark Millon — was named No. 1 player in the Class of 2023, Inside Lacrosse has named younger brother Brendan Millon the No. 1 player in the Class of 2025.

Check out the full Top 50 here:

The Millon brothers starred together at McDonogh (Md.) School and won the MIAA A Conference Championship this past spring. McCabe will suit up for the Virginia Cavaliers next spring, while Brendan remains uncommitted with two more years of high school left.

🚀 Lacrosse To The Moon!? Almost…

Lacrosse hasn’t quite reached the moon, but a prominent former player is currently in outer space. Jasmin Moghbeli — a NASA astronaut who played lacrosse, basketball and volleyball at MIT — is on the SpaceX Crew-7 that recently launched to the International Space Station.

Moghbeli graduated from MIT in 2005 and became a NASA astronaut in 2017. No word yet on whether her goalie stick made it to the ISS.
