ππ·οΈ Game of the Week: UNC vs. Richmond
After graduating three PLL midfielders -- Justin Anderson (Chrome LC), Will Perry (Whipsnakes LC), and Tanner Cook (Chaos LC) -- the Tar Heels have some big shoes to fill in 2022.
βYou canβt snap your fingers and replace the production from Perry, Cook, and Anderson who have 100-plus points each in their career and say hey theyβre going to be as productive,β coach Joe Breschi told Inside Lacrosse's Kevin Brown. βI think the beauty of it is going to figure out who it is, who plays best together and all of them have to understand that the ball has to go through 4.β
No. 4, of course, is Chris Gray -- the projected 1st overall pick in the 2022 PLL Draft.

Frankie McCarthy (Mount St. Mary's '16) recently underwent successful craniotomy surgery to remove a brain tumor in his left frontal lobe.
Frankie has four cycles of radiation therapy and chemotherapy ahead of him. If you can, please consider donating to the GoFundMe to help Frankie and his family pay out-of-pocket medical expenses.
ποΈ How golf helped Asher Nolting's development
High Point fifth-year attackman Asher Nolting joined Peet Poillon and Matt Bocklet's podcast to talk about his recruiting process, his re-recruitment, and how golf translates to lacrosse.
"The second I could walk, I was swinging a golf club," recalls Nolting. "Golf taught me a lot. It taught me how to be by myself... If you're playing bad, you're playing bad and you're out there for 18 holes. It definitely gives you some tough skin."
Nolting has dished 157 assists in his High Point career -- not counting this beauty through contact in last week's scrimmage. Listen to the full interview via IL:

π From Lacrosse to Lombardi?
Prior to committing to The Ohio State University to play football, Cincinnati Bengals captain Sam Hubbard was originally committed to play lacrosse at Notre Dame.
"I was a better lacrosse player than I was football for most of my life, and I think I had more fun playing lacrosse," said Hubbard, who signed a four-year, $40 million contract extension with the Bengals last summer. "I credit a lot of my athletic development on the football field, hand-eye coordination, all that type of stuff, to playing lacrosse."
Pardon My Take's Jake Marsh wrote about Hubbard's journey from lacrosse to Super Bowl Sunday.

βοΈ Rutgers: Razor University
Rutgers lacrosse is known for its NASCAR tempo. They love to run. (See: Wednesday afternoon's end-to-end-to-end sequence.)
When the dust settles, their favorite action is a razor pick. Jules Heningburg majored in razor picks at Rutgers; now, he's teaching courses at the pro level.
This razor pick -- set by Kyle Gallagher for Ross Scott -- put the Marist defense in a bind. Gallagher's defender stays above GLE to read and react. Gallagher changes the pick location as Scott's defender turns his head, giving Scott a step. And the pump fake freezes both defenders, equidistant from Gallagher and Scott. A 2-on-2 turned into a 2-on-0.
Rutgers fans may have deja vu watching that. We broke down Jules running the same exact action back in 2018:
