🐢 Film Study: Anthony DeMaio slipping picks

Maryland grad student Anthony DeMaio is one of the savviest off-ball midfielders in the game. He sells picks with body language then slips to space. This give-and-go with Logan Wisnauskas was routine for the Terps in '21 -- and led to the game-winning goal in the quarterfinals against Notre Dame.

DeMaio usually operates on that lefty side of the field with Wisnauskas. Occasionally, he'll play on the other side. Against Syracuse, he set a pick for Kyle Long -- then slipped to become an outlet, kept his head up, and found Wisnauskas on the interior.

DeMaio (73G, 57A in 60 career games) will be one of the top prospects in the 2022 PLL Draft.
